  1. Hi Tristen, I am thoroughly enjoying your videos of your adventures. Your videos are the best I’ve seen so far on you tube. You search out the most interesting, incredible, and amazing places to camp and enjoy the beautiful world we live in. Then you explain the area and where you are with us the viewers. I feel like this is the only way I will ever see these places. Thank you so much. My questions are about how you have your car outfitted and what is the make of your car. Also is the car a four wheel drive?

    1. Hi Kathy! I’m so happy that you like the videos! My car is a 2011 Toyota RAV4. It has 4WD that I can turn on and off, and 99.9% of the time, it’s off. What exactly is your question about how I’ve outfitted the car? Do you mean modifications to the car or gear inside the car or…? I haven’t done any modifications to the car itself. It’s stock. As for the gear inside of the car, there’s more to cover than I can just give in a comment here. Let me know if you have specific questions about my gear, and I’ll try to answer them.

      1. Hi Tristen, After finding more videos of yours on YouTube, I realized you had answered my questions in other videos. I am a 64 year old widow with a gypsy heart. I currently have a 30 ft. class A RV, a 26 ft. travel trailer, a pop up. However I don’t use these unless camping with my family. I have a 2015 GMC Acadia the back seats lay down flat. I know I could car camp but feel uneasy about going as a solo female. Have you ever ran into dangerous situations with people or animals?

        1. The world isn’t nearly as scary as people would have you believe. I’ve never run into any dangerous situation involving people or animals. You’ll be fine!
