2 Days Alone in the California Wilderness!

In this video I spend two days hiking and camping in the stunning backcountry of northern California’s Lassen Volcanic National Park. It was an amazing adventure full of cinder cones, lava flows, volcano views, a bunch of lakes, picturesque streams, and wildlife. (Click here if you can’t see the video below.)

Nevada Like You’ve Never Seen It!

In this video I climb Boundary Peak, the highest mountain in Nevada. The scenery there was incredible! Then I drive north, back into California, and find a sweet campsite south of Lake Tahoe.

In the video I mention bears in Nevada. I did some more research about bear populations in the state and found this fascinating PDF report. It’s worth reading if you too are curious about the Nevada bear population.

A Week of Adventures in Yosemite National Park!

In this video I share some of the things I did and saw in California’s Yosemite National Park when I was there for a week with my family. I go to Hetch Hetchy, see a bunch of waterfalls, go rock climbing, go tubing on the Merced River, and hike up to the top of Half Dome. A great week! Also, about half of the footage is from my new camera. Do you notice a difference? (Click here if you can’t see the video below.)

Aliens & Free Lakeside Boondocking Near Yosemite

In this video I hunt for Native American rock art in Nevada’s Big Rocks Wilderness, have some alien encounters (of a sort), head into California, wander around the fantastic South Tufa area of Mono Lake, and find an amazing free lakeside camping spot on Grant Lake, not too far from the east entrance of Yosemite National Park. Wildlife and Quesadillas

In this video I continue exploring the highlands of the Markagunt Plateau in southwestern Utah. I hike up a mountain, try and fail to hike to another spot, explore Cedar Breaks National Monument, drive one of the highest roads in Utah, have a couple of wildlife encounters, and make some dinner from a gorgeous camp on the edge of a meadow. Whew! (Click here if you can’t see the video below.)
