Clothing

I’m a big fan of merino wool shirts and underwear, especially the Icebreaker brand. These are the Icebreaker shirts I like.

Navigation

Nationwide road atlas – I use and like the National Geographic one.

State road atlas – I’ve found the Benchmark atlases to be excellent.

Map apps – I use Google Maps for most of my navigation. If I know I’ll be out in the boonies, I’ll use the CityMaps2Go app (Android/iOS) to download offline maps.

Camping gear

Solar lanterns – I have these two solar lanterns and love them both: d.light S20 LED Solar Rechargeable Area Lantern and LuminAid.
