Exploring Chaco Canyon (With History, Information, Hikes, etc.)

It’s been called “the Machu Picchu of America.” While maybe not quite as spectacularly situated as Machu Puchhi, the Native American Ruins of Chaco Canyon in northwestern New Mexico are numerous, enormous, expansive, and very impressive. In this video I spent a day exploring the area’s famous (and some not-so-famous) ruins and rock art. (Click here if you can’t see the video below.)

  1. That brought back a lot of memories for me being there about 20 years ago. You saw a lot more than I did. I only went to the Pueblo Bonito. So I sure appreciate all that you showed us. I enjoyed this video immensely!

  2. Thanks just saw your Chaco canyon trip. Appreciate your historical narrative. Almost like the History channel used to be.
