So sorry your SUV crashed. Do you think it might have been partly do to it being lifted and so the center of gravity higher?
My SUV was totaled last year when a big pickup crashed into it. It was a 2007 Nissan Xterra, and awesome off road, even rock crawling. But not as big as yours for sure. Now is a difficult time to be buying used vehicles (as was last summer)

Best thing about older/used trucks for off-roading is that one does not have to be concerned about scratches, dents, etc. from off-roading. I can’t imagine taking a new, $60+k truck off-roading.
